What we do

We support Grace Private School, a Christian school in Koro, Mali, by providing over half of the yearly budget, by providing jobs to an area rife with unemployment, by aiding in the continuing education of the school teachers, by intentional prayer for the students, teachers and village, and by helping with long term planning, educational discernment and capital improvements. We provide basic health care including immunizations, first aid, and health education. Grace Missions improves the educational opportunities for these children and provides a Biblical foundation to their lives by sharing our abundance with those that have very little. We provide hope and confidence for a better tomorrow.  We believe Grace Private School provides a foundation which has all sorts of influence within the community. Parents see the change in their children and the Christian behaviors that they demonstrate, and our hope is that this influence spreads within families and pours out into the community. We feel that education is the key to a hopeful future, a lasting peace, and personal fulfillment in developing countries.

Our History

The body of Christ has many parts, each needing each other to fulfill the purpose of God. Josh, Josie & Brandon have traveled to Mali for years showing the love of Christ to the people of Mali, West Africa, on medical mission teams. Ibrahima Kodio, a man from Koro, Mali, served the medical missions teams as an English translator, and in so doing formed relationships with Josh, Josie & Brandon. Ibrahima told them about his Christian school in Koro and about his hopes and dreams for that school and for Koro, sparking a love in their hearts for his dreams. Ibrahima traveled to the Kansas City area during the summer of 2012 to glean from some of our local Christian educators how to improve Grace Private School. During that visit, Dennis and Judy, formed a friendship with him. Ibrahima's love for the Lord and for the children of Koro was contagious, sparking a desire in all who met him to do something more than pray and encourage. Through that spark, God brought Josh, Josie, Brandon, Dennis & Judy together in October 2012 to form Grace Missions, for the purpose of supporting Ibrahima Kodio and Grace Private School. Ibrahima needs our prayers, our encouragement, and our financial support. We need Ibrahima to share the love of Christ beyond our daily borders to the people in Koro, West Africa, and specifically the students and families of Grace Private School. We are thankful for the body of Christ!
